The first generation of Pokemon contained 15 different types. The second generation added two more types while the sixth generation added another. A number of Pokemon were altered to fit the changes, helping the series progress to where it is now.
Despite the alterations that have already been made, some fans still want certain Pokemon to receive adjustments. There are types that do not make sense to gamers, especially when looking at Pokedex entries and move sets. This has led to many players questioning the reasoning behind the concepts of many Pokemon, as well as suggesting adjustments for many pocket monsters seen in the games.

A Redditor known as B217 shared a number of Pokemon that they feel should have their types changed. The first is Golduck, which they felt should become Water/Psychic. This is due to the fact that the Pokedex states Golduck has psychic powers and learns a number of Psychic moves. The user then moves on to Grapploct, which they believe should also be a Water-Type along with Fighting. This suggestion was made since the Pokemon is an octopus and can learn Water-type moves. B217 then brings up Lucario, which the gamer states should be Fighting/Psychic. This is because Lucario uses the power of its aura and that a few spikes on its body do not justify it being part Steel.
The fourth Pokemon that B217 brings up is Florges, which they suggest should have the Grass-Typing added to it. Since the pocket monster learns numerous Grass-type moves and basically is a flower, the addition would make sense.
