Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are less than three months away from their release, and many fans are eager to discover what Paldea has to offer in terms of challenges, secrets, and of course, new pocket monsters. According to the leaks, Gen 9 will feature a slew of new creatures that range from entirely never-before-seen species to regional forms and the rumored Paradox Pokemon, which are Pokemon that time-traveled from the past or the future and whose existence causes some form of inconsistency. And yet, three months from launch, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have only revealed 12 new Pokemon, which is an abysmal amount compared to past reveal cycles, especially that for Gen 7 games.
Although Paradox Pokemon have not been officially announced in any of the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet trailers, they have been consistently brought up by leakers as a big part of the games. There are supposed to be eight Paradox Pokemon from the past and eight from the future, with them possibly being version-exclusive monsters for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, respectively. These Paradox Pokemon are allegedly all dual-types, with most of them swapping types to something else.
