Pokemon Fan Makes Impressive 'Who's That Pokemon?' Pull-Apart Rug

Since the 1990's when it first burst onto the gaming scene, Pokemon has not only become one of the most dominant gaming franchises in history, but also one of the most iconic pieces of popular culture in the United States. Between the Pokemon games as well as the numerous seasons of the T.V. show, the franchise has become synonymous with both Nintendo and gaming in general.

While the Pokemon games are extremely popular, the TV show was also a huge hit with child audiences when it first debuted. One of the more memorable pieces of the show was the «Who's that Pokemon?» segment, which would task watchers with determining what Pokemon the show was asking for based off of its silhouette alone. While sometimes this was an easy task, other times the silhouette looked like it could belong to one of a number of Pokemon.

Originally meant to simply be a creative way to cut to commercials as well as end the break, the segment would become one of the more iconic features of the show, sticking with fans long after they had stopped watching. One of these fans was Reddit user GremlynRugs, a user known for their hobby of creating unique rugs based on video games and popular culture. This led them to create a rug based on the «Who's that Pokemon» segment, and for their Pokemon of choice they used a throwback Pokemon akin to another Pokemon fan getting a Caterpie tattoo.

Going with an old-school classic, their Pokemon of choice was none other than Mew, the cute floating psychic creature that was one of the series' first legendaries.
