An artistic Pokémon fan has created a Rotom form based on the Nintendo Switch's Joy-Con, as well as a detailed accompanying Pokédex entry. Rotom's ability to possess electronic devices is an increasingly important detail in the Pokémon world, allowing it to assume a range of combat forms and, in more recent games, even upgrade the player character's phone — when that phone isn't being powered by Arceus, of course.
Modifications to the standard Joy-Con design are nothing new. There are plenty of alternative skins out there, both official tie-ins and more unofficial versions. Special Joy-Con designs are sometimes produced as tie-in merchandise for major game releases, similar to special 3DS designs seen in the past. Others are instead created by gamers themselves, allowing them to show off their fandoms in personalized ways. Specialized Joy-Con designs can be produced and sold for a variety of reasons, ranging from simple customization purposes to charity drives, although Nintendo has come down heavily on unlicenced productions like these in the past. A charity design produced in honor of popular YouTuber Etika received a cease-and-desist, for example, with Nintendo asserting that the 'JoyconBoyz' shells were an infringement of copyright.

However, this latest fan creation is much less likely to land its creator in legal trouble. For one thing, fan artist SelenoFil (via Reddit) has only produced a design, with no intention of physical production. Their Rotom Joy-Con features the familiar Rotom orange and obligatory eyes and mouth, in keeping with official Rotom forms like Wash and Frost.
