PlayStation Stars Program Launches in North America With First Set of Quests and Collectibles
Sony has launched its PlayStation Stars loyalty program in North and South America following its recent rollout in other regions. The PlayStation Stars loyalty program is an interesting new initiative where PlayStation gamers can be rewarded for playing and purchasing games on their PlayStation consoles. Rewards include points that can be redeemed for various prizes, including PlayStation Store credit, as well as special collectible items that pay homage to PlayStation's past.
PlayStation Stars is now available in Asian territories, North America, and South America, with plans to bring it to Europe, Australia, and New Zealand on October 13. Those who already have access to PlayStation Stars can click here to visit the website and sign up. Signing up is completely free. Afterwards, players will be prompted to download the PlayStation App, and it's here where they will see their PlayStation Stars level, quests, and rewards.
PlayStation Stars Could Have a Secret Fifth Tier Called ‘Diamond’
At the time of this writing, there are four quests, or «campaigns» for players to complete. One is simply for playing a PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5 game in the month of October, and doing so will get players the T-Rex from the PS1 tech demo. Another quest is called Hit Play/1994, which gets players a digital Sony Chord Machine. This PlayStation Stars campaign gives players various song titles, and they have to figure out which games those titles correspond to and launch them to complete the game.
Another quest gets players a Novelty Toy Fight Trophy collectible, and it's for playing fighting games. The options include Street Fighter 5, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Mortal Kombat 11, and Tekken 7. It's unclear at the time of this writing if
