Upcoming cat game Stray will be getting its own line of Travel Cat backpacks and harnesses. The game, which is set to release on the PlayStation 4, PS5, and PC later this July, sees players take on the role of a stray kitty in a dystopian sci-fi city. Players will interact with strangers, knock objects off of high surfaces, and stealthily avoid mechanical enemies.
Originally announced in 2020 as a part of PlayStation's Future of Gaming event, Stray is developed by BlueTwelve Studio and will spotlight a mixture of platforming and stealth gameplay. The title has been shown off at successive PlayStation events over the last two years, regularly drawing reactions from players who have praised the game's adorable and accurate cat animations. Still, the game's story has remained mysterious, and the secrets of its world won't be made fully clear until players check it out themselves on July 19.

A week ahead of its release, Stray's publisher, Annapurna Interactive, has teamed up with Travel Cat to launch a new line of cat backpacks and harnesses based on the game. Inspired by the visuals on display in Stray's cat-focused trailers, the new Travel Cat backpacks will be able to hold "up to 25 lbs of cat", while the harness is modeled on the one worn by the cat protagonist of Stray (although sadly without their friendly robot companion). The harness has a reflective mesh to keep cats in sight while exploring during the night, and six feet of cord to ensure they have plenty of room to maneuver. Pre-orders for the collection from Travel Cat start today, with products shipping later in the year.
