It's summer, which of course means that online retailers have started offering massive sales with discounted prices on tons of digital games across console and PC. As such, Sony has already joined the savings season with the PlayStation Summer Sale event, offering discounts up to 75% off on a roster including indie titles and AAA-developed games.
While this sale began on July 20th, it appears that this was only the first part of the total PlayStation Summer Sale, with a refresh coming soon to update the list of available titles. This will mean that some titles will be leaving the sale event, while also making more games available that hadn't been included in the first set that PlayStation had already discounted for customers.

The second set of games will update on August 3rd, introducing a new set of games and add-ons to the discounted roster, such as Horizon Zero Dawn and its 2022 sequel Horizon Forbidden West. While PlayStation has not announced the exact prices for these and other titles yet, the range of discounts for the first run of the Summer Sale has ranged from 25%-75% off. It's likely that some of the included indie titles will be the ones to receive the largest discounts, so fans should keep an eye out for games already selling at a lower price point than their AAA counterparts like Hades or Blue Fire.
While this refresh means that more games will be going on sale, others will be coming off sale and returning to full price on August 3rd.
