Sony revealed most of the games that will arriving alongside the new and improved PlayStation Plus and said that select retro titles would have improved frame rates, higher resolutions, and a new user interface that will allow users to save at any time and rewind. And now it seems that trophies are coming to at least some of those older rereleases, too.
Bend Studio tweeted that, which originally released on the PS1 in 1999, will have trophies when it rereleases. The developer then included a picture of a silver trophy popping called “An Explosive Start.” The image in question has what appears to be a subway car exploding, which is likely related to the subway train that blows up at the end of the first level.

This is the first confirmation that trophies are making their way to old games on the service, as Sony still has yet to officially comment on the matter. However, given Sony’s wording with other features, it’s possible that not every game will get them, as the announcement on the PlayStation Blog post uses “select” for many of PlayStation Plus’ features. Only “select” games will have rewinding and the ability to save whenever. “Select” games users already purchased will be available for no extra charge. There will be trials for “select” titles.
