June is nearly here, and with it the major gaming events of the late spring and early summer. All eyes are on PlayStation, which has chosen to forgo E3 and E3-adjacent events for years now. That hasn't stopped PlayStation fans from hoping for a bigger showing this year, though. While a June PlayStation State of Play may still be up in the air, the annual PlayStation Days of Play sale now appears to be a certainty. Multiple reports indicate that Days of Play is planned to start soon.
Rumors regarding the start of 2022's PlayStation Days of Play sale began spreading this past week after the Cheap Ass Gamer Twitter account shared the date of May 25 on its Twitter account. Without an official announcement, however, some were skeptical of the date. That date has now been seconded by another Twitter sale aggregator, Wario64, with some additional information that has previously been unavailable.

Wario64's message on Twitter started by reiterating the May 25 start date for PlayStation's Days of Play sale. Attached to his tweet was an image that looks like it was cropped from an email or advertisement of some kind. In addition to the start date, the image confirms that Days of Play will be ending on June 8. Otherwise, the only other new detail is the message «The PlayStation event of the summer is here.» It's unclear where Wario64 got the information.
No details regarding what would be on sale during PlayStation Days of Play 2022 were shared, but Wario64 did provide a hint.
