Walmart is once again restocking the PlayStation 5, but only for customers who’ve signed up for the Walmart+ perks program.
The restock is taking place tomorrow April 19, at 9 a.m. PST/ 12 p.m. EST. It seems only the disc-edition PS5 will be available. Use the link below when the time arrives:
PlayStation 5 for $499.99
The retailer announced the restock on a company web page for the Walmart+ membership and via the PS5 product listing.
If you don’t have a membership, you only have to pay $12.95 a month or $98 a year for the perks program, which offers free shipping on all orders, along with other benefits.
However, the PS5 restock will only be available to paying Walmart+ members, not customers, who’ve signed up via the free 30-day trial. To avoid the trial period when registering for a Walmart+ membership, click the "Join Walmart+" link on the company’s web page for the event. On the next page, scroll down to the Early access section and click Start paid membership.
To verify you've opted out of the free trial, the checkout page should list the date for when the payment starts.
Although the PS5 will only be available to Walmart+ members tomorrow, we expect the restock will still face sizable demand. So interested buyers should place their orders the moment the sales begin at 9 a.m. PST/12 p.m. EST. To increase your chances of securing the product, we also recommend using both a desktop computer and smartphone when making the purchase.
