Pete Davidson voices a talking Great Dane in the new trailer for Netflix's Marmaduke. Directed by Mark A.Z. Dippé, Matt Philip Whelan and Youngki Lee, the new film brings to life the titular canine character created by Bradley Jay Anderson in 88-minutes of animation. From a script by Bryon Kavanaugh, Marmaduke's story follows the efforts of a legendary dog trainer, determined to make Marmaduke the first Great Dane to win the Westminster Championship. Animated by Storyberry, the film was produced by Andrew McMeel Entertainment and Legacy Classics.
In the new Marmaduke trailer released by Netflix After School, viewers are officially introduced to the naughty but lovable dog voiced by Davidson. Branded “a handful” from the offset, Marmaduke unexpectedly draws the attention of a world-renowned dog trainer (voiced by Brian Hull) after a video of him accidentally ruining a barbecue goes viral. Rising to the challenge, the trainer determines that he will make Marmaduke a “champion,” though his efforts are repeatedly hampered by the lovable canine’s insatiable appetite and clumsiness. Their efforts are further strained by the introduction of Zeus, an experienced competition rival who sets out to sabotage all of their progress. Despite the chaos, Marmaduke’s family shows they’ll love him regardless. Check out the trailer below.
