Pam & Tommy star Sebastian Stan reacts to news of Pamela Anderson's Netflix documentary. The Hulu limited series sees Stan take on the role of Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee alongside Lily James as Pamela Anderson. Pam & Tommy centers on the titular couple's tumultuous marriage during the time when their private sex tape was stolen and leaked online. Nick Offerman, Seth Rogen, and Taylor Schilling also play real-life figures who were involved in the scandal. Pam & Tommy airs its eighth and final episode on March 9.
Anderson was not involved in the making of Pam & Tommy, nor did she give Hulu permission to dramatize her life. However, Anderson recently announced she will "tell the real story" in a documentary coming to Netflix. While many assumed this was in direct response to Hulu's series, Anderson's project has apparently been in the works for several years from director Ryan White. The film is expected to take an intimate look at Anderson's personal and professional life through her own perspective.

Speaking to Variety at the premiere of his new movie Fresh, Stan was asked about his thoughts on Anderson's upcoming documentary. The actor was overwhelmingly positive, saying he feels hopeful Pam & Tommy has "inspired further conversation" and is looking forward to Anderson telling her own side of the story.
