Lily James Still Using American Accent Months After Pam & Tommy Wraps
Lily James is still unconsciously using an American accent despite Pam & Tommy having wrapped months ago. Hulu's highly anticipated limited series, Pam & Tommy released last month and saw its eighth and final episode drop on Tuesday night. The series tells of the "greatest love story ever sold" and offers a dramatized glimpse inside the biggest scandal of the 90s that saw Baywatch star Pamela Anderson and Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee have their private sex tape leaked to the public.
The series sees James star as Anderson alongside The Falcon and the Winter Soldier'sSebastian Stan, who plays Lee. Pam & Tommy also boasts an equally strong ensemble cast with Seth Rogen starring as Rand Gauthier and Nick Offerman as Milton Ingley, the two men responsible for releasing the sex tape. The series has been hailed for the insane transformations of its two main stars, James and Stan, with it being later revealed that it took upwards of 3 hours each day to transform James into Anderson for the camera. James' transformation, however, did not stop at prosthetics, with the Britishstar also adopting a ridiculously convincing American accent, akin to that of Anderson herself.

James' commitment to her character appears to have been so intense that the star still slips into an American accent occasionally. While chatting with THR on the red carpet for the premiere of Pam & Tommy's season finale, James was busy answering questions when she caught herself losing her English accent. Putting her hands to her head in frustration, James stopped herself, stating "I keep talking in an American accent!" before joking "What is happening to me?!" The Mamma Mia 2 star
