Palia’s March update is on the way, and will coincide with the game’s Steam launch on March 25th. The team previewed the new temple, new decor items, and more on the way in the patch, and gave a glimpse at future features in development.
The spring-themed patch will add a brand new temple, Temple of the Roots, to continue the lore and story of Palia and add some more activities to tackle. In adding the new temple, they took feedback from previous releases and built in some improvements. For example, some people had trouble orienting themselves inside the Temple of the Gales, so they added flowers to show that you’re in the central room of Temple of the Roots. In addition to those changes made in response to player feedback, “It’ll also be the first time some new mechanics are introduced that we’ll be utilizing in future temples and zones!”
Feedback also plays a role in updates to climbing that should help with smoother exploration. This patch will roll out the first of several changes that intend to improve the experience of exploring and traveling around.
They're also adding more outdoor decor items, with the first feature being flowers and trees. When you decorate your housing plot with flowers, they’ll be saplings, needing time and watering to grow. Insects that visit may even drop flower seeds. Once flowers are fully grown, you can move them around and arrange them, and they will drop just one guaranteed seed of their own type. With patience and care, you can repeat the process if you want a lush garden.
Trees also get some changes. They will now have four growth stages and like flowers, will need water and patience to fully grow. You can stop their growth at any stage if you're going for a particular look, and you can chop them for resources at any time.
There’s also a peek at future content. Palia will get building blocks for structural decor, new housing blueprints and add-ons, along with pathways and walkways with stone and wood options. Friendship level
