Eiichiro Oda, One Piece's author, announced last month that the manga would be going on a month-long hiatus following the conclusion of the series's longest arc yet, the Wano country arc. With the series all but set to return later this month, it's time fans get to know what to expect from the upcoming chapters of the story, as the very final saga of Oda's magnum opus kicks off.
One Piece: Did The Wano Arc Live Up To Expectations?
Shortly before the hiatus, fans saw all the fights in Wano finally conclude, with Luffy versus Kaido being the very last one of them. Seven days later, the land of Wano seems to be prospering under the new leadership of Momonosuke, the Shogun of the country. All that said, danger still looms large over the country as the World Government ships are still close by. At the same time, trouble brews in the outside world as Admiral Green Bull makes his entry into the land of Wano. All this and more will be addressed in One Piece chapter 1054.
Quite easily the most important part of One Piece's next chapter is going to be the start of the new saga. As confirmed by Eiichiro Oda himself, chapter 1053 marked the conclusion of the Wano Country arc. While this can be confusing for quite a lot of fans as the story is still continuing in one Wano Country, the fact remains that the arc is officially over. This means that One Piece 1054 will see the beginning of the post-Wano arc.
