On this day, January 16, 2007, 15 years ago, World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade was released. The Burning Crusade was the first expansion for the very well received game, and was highly anticipated. Introducing the enigmatic Illidan Stormrage and his «You are not prepared!» catch-phrase as well as two new and highly popular races, the expansion is remembered fondly all these years later. Fondly enough that Blizzard released a Classic version so that players could relive, or experience for the first time, that journey through the Dark Portal into the broken world of Outland, hopefully sans the server issues and crashes that came with what was the fastest selling PC game ever at the time.
