Nothing Phone (1) NOT a flagship? Latest leak reveals SURPRISING details
Nothing Phone (1) may not be a flagship-grade phone! In fact, based on the latest set of leaks, it seems Nothing could making its first smartphone a midrange model with good enough specs and features. The leak comes just days after Nothing released the beta version of its Nothing Launcher on the Google Play Store. The leaks as found by a Twitter user in one of the product guides available online, titled Nothing Phone 1 User manual. Note that this is not an official guide, hence we suggest you take this with a pinch of salt.
The leak, which comes from Twitter user @rsjadon01, has listed the entire spec sheet of the Nothing Phone (1). This is very different to Carl Pei’s previous company that had started with a flagship grade phone. The Nothing Phone (1) has specs comparable to a Google Pixel 5 and all of it seems to be keeping the price very affordable, just like the Nothing ear (1) earbuds launched in 2021.
Based on the leaked data, the Nothing Phone (1) is avoiding any of the Snapdragon 800 series, or Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip and relying on the slightly older yet reliable Snapdragon 778G chip. This will be accompanied by 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. As expected, the phone will boot Nothing OS out of the box, based on Android 12. The phone is having a 6.4-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with HDR10+ support and a refresh rate of 90Hz.
The rear camera setup will have a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP camera of unknown type. It will use a 32MP sensor for the front camera. All of this will be relying on a 4500mAh battery, and while the leak does not mention anything regarding the charging speeds, the phone will support wireless charging.
