Nothing Phone (1) has certainly got the attention of the world with its fancy LED Glyph lights and the exclusivity of having wireless charging. However, Nothing certainly wants to reach out to more people and that means reducing the price. Turns out that those Glyph lights and wireless charging features may have a big role in bumping up the price. Rumours now suggest that there will be a Nothing Phone (1) Lite that could leave behind these two features in favour of a lower price tag. And what does Nothing have to say in this?
Nothing straight up denies anything on a Lite version of the Nothing Phone (1). The report, which was first outed by The Mobile Indian, suggests that this Lite version of the Phone (1) will not differentiate much from the standard model when it comes to the core specs. By losing the 900-LED equipped Glyph lights and wireless charging as well as sticking to 6GB RAM, it is said that Nothing could be able to sell the phone for a price as low as Rs. 24,999.
At the moment, Nothing denies any such claims and hence, the chances of this phone making it to reality are slim. However, Nothing as a young brand would want to have a wider foothold in the market at an early stage and a cheaper phone could help it garner a better market share. It won't beat Xiaomi or Realme with it but the Lite version could be a start of something big from the brand.
The report says that the rest of the specs and features will remain the same. Hence, you expect the same brilliant 6.5-inch OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, a dual 50MP rear camera system and a 16MP front camera system, the same Snapdragon 778G+ chipset inside, the same Nothing OS based on Android 12.
