The classic Nintendo 64 flight simulator Pilotwings 64 will be coming to the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack very soon. In a recent trailer from Nintendo, the release date was also confirmed for this month. Last year, Nintendo introduced this premium service, where subscribers gain access to not only classic games from the NES and SNES library, but also the N64 and Sega Genesis consoles as well. While the Switch's Expansion Pack has been a mixed bag for some fans, it has been getting several additions ever since its release, offering access to a bunch of older games from Nintendo's back catalog.
One of these is the aforementioned Pilotwings 64, which was a launch title for the N64, alongside Super Mario 64. This game is a sequel to the original Pilotwings on the SNES, which puts the player in the pilot seat as they try to fly a variety of aerodynamic vehicles. This includes planes, jetpacks, and more. It was a huge critical and commercial success back in the day, and now newer fans can either experience this title for the first time while older fans can re-experience what made it so great.

In this new trailer from Nintendo, it confirms that the game will be coming to the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack on October 13. Alongside this release date, a velvety voiced narrator goes over the three flight methods that players will get to grips with in-game. This includes a hang-gliding challenge, a «Rocket Belt» which is essentially a jetpack, and a gyrocopter, which has the players flying around and shooting missiles at giant robots. Alongside this, the trailer also showcases a variety of minigames, such as shooting out of a cannon.
