Paramount+'s new series The Offer is not a remake of one of the greatest movies ever made, but it is a companion to the true story. Raising The Godfather took a village, and on the eve of the film's 50th anniversary, some of the greatest actors in Hollywood today were amassed to dramatize how it happened. The show has already premiered its first three episodes, and fans are buzzing at how everything went down.
Among the large ensemble cast, Miles Teller plays super producer Albert Ruddy, Giovanni Ribisi is real-life mafia boss Joe Colombo, and Dan Fogler plays director Francis Ford Coppola himself. Two of the Executive Producers responsible for such an incredible collection of actors are Nikki Toscano (Hunters) and Russell Rothberg (Foundation), who also wrote some of the episodes.

But I think when you're battling the real-life mafia as well, it adds life-and-death stakes to the series that is unusual and distinctive.
