These credits include Steven Universe as Sugilite, The Other Woman as Lydia, and Ice Age: Continental Drift as Steffie. Minaj has also released two documentaries: Nicki Minaj: My Time Now and Nicki Minaj: My Time Again on MTV.
Now, in an interview with Joe Budden, Minaj offered updates on her life and career, along with sharing details on her new projects. Minaj confirms that there is a documentary in development, but that she will not reveal any further details until it is ready. Additionally, Minaj reveals that she is closely working with and in talks with a director on a movie, possibly taking on a bigger, more in-depth role than her previous acting endeavors. “When it’s ready I’ll let you know..." she says in response to her documentary update. «Yes, I am working on working with a director right now regarding a movie… I can't wait to tell everybody that, I'm really excited about that. It’s a bigger role than I’ve ever taken on. It's a more in-depth role than I've ever taken on. I mean, it's time right? I can't be just doing those surface roles.”
