New Sonic Frontiers Figure Revealed, Leaks Possible First Look at In-Game Collectible

The month of June has been pretty busy for Sonic fans, with SEGA finally giving the first proper look at the upcoming Sonic Frontiers. It's slated to be the franchise's take on an open-world setting, while also incorporating a set of linear levels that take place in a cyberspace world. This leap in genre has seen the game being compared to Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, especially with Sonic Frontiers' tone and atmosphere. It's also set to feature a number of gameplay elements that are found in the genre, such as side-quests, a fishing mini-game with Big the Cat, and a set of collectibles.

Some early leaks of Sonic Frontiers had accurately described some of the game's core features, such as the open-world and Breath of the Wild-esque inspiration.
