The premiere of Marvel's newest Disney+ offering is looming ever closer, and now She-Hulk: Attorney at Law has another new trailer to keep those excitement levels high courtesy of San Diego Comic-Con. Luckily for those who felt the other recent teasers were lacking, this one definitely has a lot more meat to it, and also a finger.
Unlike the previous trailers for She-Hulk, this new preview offers viewers a much clearer picture of what to expect when the series debuts. Beginning with Mark Ruffalo's Bruce Banner/Hulk waking up his cousin Jennifer Walters/She-Hulk (Tatiana Maslany) via air horn, it's immediately apparent that comedy will play a much bigger role in this series than other Marvel projects. Granted, humor has always been a big part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But until now, it was mostly used to punctuate scenes rather than drive them, which looks to be the case here. Jennifer looking directly at the camera in response to one of Bruce's comments is one particularly hilarious instance of that.
Walters And Murdock: How The MCU Handles Attorneys
Dividing attention between Jennifer's new life as a superhero and her persisting one as a lawyer, the trailer seems to be offering an alternate take on the classic «balancing superpowers with an ordinary life» formula that many comic book shows and movies have tackled. But in many ways, those two lives converge for her, leading to her role as the face of a new division dealing with a surge of new superhumans (including Tim Roth reprising his role as Abomination from 2008's The Incredible Hulk). The world of Marvel really has a thing for lawyers, it seems.
