June is almost here, which means a whole new slate of shows and movies to watch on Hulu. Some of the content is available starting on June 1, while other shows and movies will be available a little later next month.
On June 28, Only Murders in the Building comes back for Season 2. The true-crime comedy starring Martin Short, Steve Martin, and Selena Gomez was a little hokey in Season 1--part of a bigger trend of shows shoehorning in podcaster characters--but when it hit, its laughs were always memorable. Season 1 tells the improbable story of how three tenants who barely know each other bond over starting a true-crime podcast to investigate a grisly death that occurs inside their exclusive Upper West Side apartment building. Season 1 ended with the trio, just as improbably, being framed for the murder--and being hauled off to prison.
Much earlier in the month, The Orville returns on June 2 for a revival season as a Hulu original series. A synopsis in part reads: «Set 400 years in the future, The Orville: New Horizons finds the crew of the U.S.S. Orville continuing their mission of exploration, as they navigate both the mysteries of the universe and the complexities of their own interpersonal relationships.» Seth MacFarlane created the sci-fi series, which ran for two seasons on Fox starting in 2017. As of this writing, there are no plans for Season 4.
