The Reality Stone has been stolen by Galactus' former herald, Tyrant, leaving Thanos to fight back to regain the powerful gem. In Silver Surfer: Rebirth #5 by Marvel Comics, the Mad Titan lets Tyrant know that the Reality Stone belongs with him, copying his greatest MCU line while striking his fellow villain, telling the living machine that his rule is «inevitable.»
In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, one of Thanos' greatest lines, where he mentions «I am inevitable,» showed that his mission to snap half of all life was his destiny. He believed the universe could never avoid its fate by his hands. Thanos used the line in two contexts in Avengers: Endgame, as he admitted to destroying the Infinity Stones with the gems themselves, telling the Avengers the death he caused was always inevitable. More famously, the past version of Thanos, who makes his way to the present, tells Iron Man «I am inevitable,» after believing he's about to snap the Infinity Stones. Iron Man would respond with «I am Iron Man,» as he erases the Mad Titan from existence with the stolen gems.
