One of the most highly anticipated horror events this October is the premiere of Guillermo del Toro's new Netflix horror series, Cabinet of Curiosities. Just in time for October, viewers now have an official trailer for the show.
Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities is a horror anthology streaming series that consists of eight standalone episodes. Each one will be written and directed by a different well-known crew of horror filmmakers and based on classic or original horror stories—all hand chosen by del Toro himself. Today viewers got their first real taste of what the Netflix show will feel like in an official trailer.

The trailer is introduced by del Toro, who tells us to imagine our mind “as a cabinet, where you lock up your darkest thoughts and deepest fears.” He then says that viewers are about to find out what happens when they open up that cabinet for the world to see. The rest of the trailer shows little snippets from each of the eight standalone episodes. There are ghosts, demons, strange creatures, and creepy houses. In a quiet morgue, something stirs. In an abandoned storage locker, a mysterious altar is inscribed with a pentagram. Someone being buried alive. A woman with blood pouring from her empty eye sockets. Needless to say, it seems like del Toro is really bringing the horror this time.
Along with this trailer, fans have learned a lot about the show's segments, as reported by Bloody Disgusting.
