This weekend, Netflix is adding a Norwegian sci-fi movie, a drama movie, and the second part of season 4 of one of the platform’s most popular TV series. Although Netflix was at the center of controversy not long ago starting with a massive loss of followers and later due to the content of some of its comedy specials, the streaming giant is shaking all that off and continuing with its release schedule as normal. Netflix, then, keeps adding new licensed and original content every week, and this weekend will see one of 2022’s most anticipated releases.
Last weekend, Netflix brought the tragicomedy Philomena, two seasons of Nickelodeon’s All That, Kenan and Kel, Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide, and Zoey 101, the animated musical Sing 2, the sci-fi horror movie The Mist, the action movie Backtrace, and season 18 of Grey’s Anatomy, along with the rom-com Love & Gelato, season 3 of The Umbrella Academy, the British comedy TV series Man vs Bee, and the action-comedy The Man From Toronto. As it does on the first days of every month, Netflix will welcome a long list of licensed content this weekend, most notably the comedies Big Daddy and Mean Girls, Steven Spielberg’s Catch Me If You Can, Martin Scorsese’s Goodfellas, the horror movies Insidious and Blair Witch (2016), David Fincher’s Seven, and Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises.
