Although Netflix has been involved in controversy lately due to a massive loss of subscribers, potential changes in its subscription plans, and the content of certain comedy specials, the streaming giant continues adding new licensed and original content every month – and June will see the addition of some highly-anticipated titles.
May saw the arrival of the Swedish miniseries Clark, the Spanish TV series Welcome to Eden, the comedy series The Pentaverate, the comedy movie Senior Year, the documentary Our Father, the British war movie Operation Mincemeat, season 3 of Love, Death, & Robots, and the highly-anticipated first part of Stranger Things season 4. On the licensed content front, June will bring a variety of titles, most notably the comedy Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, Luc Besson’s Léon: The Professional, the drama Steel Magnolias, Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man, Martin Scorsese’s The Departed, James Cameron’s Titanic, the horror movies IT and The Mist, and Grey’s Anatomy season 18.
