Netflix is about to get a couple of new superhero graphic novel adaptations that are both the creations of Mark Waid. The books, titled Irredeemable and Incorruptible are going to be the basis for a new Netflix live-action movie.
Irredeemable is similar in some ways to The Boys in that it centers around a super-powered human who ends up going very bad. Of course, the Plutonian doesn't hide that he's gone bad the way that Homelander does, and the rest of the heroes in that book are actually good people who simply don't have a way to take on this version of Superman. Incorruptible follows former super villain Max Damage who goes on a quest to become a superhero. Eventually, Max Damage and the Plutonian cross paths and do battle.
Netflix Testing Feature That Would Make People Pay to Share Their Password
Both Boom Studios comics will be brought to Netflix and crafted into one live-action movie that will focus on the two main characters from each comic and will mash the books together. The Harder They Fall director Jeymes Samuel is going to be helming this movie and Academy Award-Nominated screenwriter Kemp Powers will be writing the script.
Kemp Powers has been tasked with another big-budget and much-anticipated superhero movie. He's been tasked with writing the script for the follow-up to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Samuels on the other hand doesn't have any superhero shows on his resume but it appears that The Harder They Fall convinced Netflix bigwigs he could handle this new project.
