The new project from Emily in Paris creator Darren Star and Modern Family's Jeffrey Richman featuring Neil Patrick Harris, Uncoupled, officially has a release date. Originally announced in August last year, Uncoupled will be a return to the platform from Harris, who last made a splash in streaming with his incredible turn as Count Olaf in A Series of Unfortunate Events. He will play Michael, a recently divorced 40-something who has to navigate both the end of a long relationship after his husband leaves him, and the struggles that come with suddenly finding oneself single in the big city.
Now, Netflix has revealed the Uncoupled release date in a new teaser trailer, as well as a set of first-look images. In the Uncoupled clip, Harris' Michael fantasizes about smashing a bouquet of roses in a fit of rage, as images of his recent split, nights out and future dating life flash across the screen. The trailer perfectly captures the tone of the series, which is set to explore a heartfelt and entertaining story against the backdrop New York City's vibrant nightlife. The clip then reveals that Uncoupled will release on Netflix on July 29. View the full Uncoupled teaser trailer and first-look images below:
