Book Club 2 Image Gives First Look At All 4 Original Characters' Return
Images from Book Club 2, the sequel to the 2018 film starring Jane Fonda, Diane Keaton, Candice Bergen, and Mary Steenburgen, show that all 4 original leads will return. Book Club follows 4 close friends, Diane (Keaton), Vivian (Fonda), Sharon (Bergen), and Carol (Steenburgen) who attend a monthly book club together. After reading50 Shades of Grey, they decide to make more of an effort to chase their dreams and desires, and along the way get into several comedic situations both with each other and their respective romantic partners.
Now Focus Features, Endeavor Content, and Makeready announce that Book Club 2 – The Next Chapter is happening, and Keaton, Fonda, Bergen, and Steenburgen will all be on the screen together once again. Book Club 2 is currently in production, and will see the 4 friends traveling to Italy for a fun trip together. In classic fashion, their anticipated relaxing vacation turns into an adventure with Andy Garcia, Don Johnson, Craig T. Nelson, Giancarlo Giannini, Hugh Quarshie, and Vincent Riotta starring alongside them on their travels. Check out the first-look image from the film below:

The original writers of Book Club, Bill Holderman and Erin Simms, penned the script for the sequel, with Holderman also directing. Having the original writing and directing team on board for the sequel should give the film a good chance at delivering more romantic comedy fun that fans of the original are anticipating. Viewers will have to follow what new images and information arise as Book Club 2 continues production.
