A proper reveal trailer and website update has provided the first official details about EA’s upcoming Need For Speed Unbound.
After the recent retailer leak gave away its name and release date, it seems EA decided to drop the reveal trailer for its newest Need For Speed game earlier than planned.
Said trailer is barely more than a minute and a half long and doesn’t reveal much in terms of gameplay, but it does corroborate what the leak said about it being called Need For Speed Unbound and launching on December 2.
One thing that the leak implied, that’s now been confirmed, however, is that Need For Speed Unbound is skipping last gen consoles and launching only for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, as well as PC.
‘Race against time, outsmart the cops, and take on weekly qualifiers to reach The Grand, Lakeshore’s ultimate street racing challenge,’ reads the trailer description.
‘Pack your garage with precision-tuned, custom rides and light up the streets with your style, exclusive fits, and a vibrant global soundtrack that bumps in every corner of the world.’
Much like it did with FIFA 23, EA is offering early access to anyone who pre-orders the game. So, you can start playing from November 29, three days ahead of its public launch.
There are also two editions to choose from: the standard edition and the Palace Edition. Both come with the same extra pre-order goodies but buying the Palace Edition nets you additional cosmetics and custom cars.
EA’s website is already advertising pre-orders, but they don’t appear to be available yet on any storefronts for PlayStation, Xbox, or PC.
The website does include a full list of cars that will be available, as well as an explanation for the game’s more cartoony art style.
