2K officially unveiled the for not only the standard version of the game, but its various other editions as well.
Gracing the NBA 2K25 cover for the standard edition of the basketball game will be Boston Celtics superstar Jayson Tatum. Tatum is coming off of a championship-winning season, and will now take to the cover of the iconic game for the first time in his career.
Alongside Tatum, 2K also announced that he and two-time WNBA MVP and two-time WNBA Champion A’ja Wilson will act as co-cover athletes for the NBA 2K25 All-Star Edition, with Wilson gracing the cover of the game’s WNBA Edition, which will be exclusive GameStop in physical form.
Similar to past years, 2K will also have a special Hall of Fame Edition of the game available. For this cover, the studio has turned to legendary player and 2024 Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Inductee Vince Carter. The eight-time All-Star and NBA Dunk Contest icon can be seen in one of his iconic dunk poses on the cover.
NBA 2K25 is set to release on September 6, 2024, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch. The breakdown in pricing and differences between each edition of NBA 2K25 is as follows:
