British survivalist Bear Grylls will be pushing celebrities like Natalie Portman, Ashton Kutcher and more to the brink in Running Wild with Bear Grylls: The Challenge season 7. Running Wild, as with all of Bear’s shows, is a how-to on surviving extreme outdoor conditions. Bear, a former SAS (Special Air Service) trooper in the British Army, teaches Running Wild's celebrity guests key survival skills that they apply throughout their journey in the wilderness, with each person being tested on their mastery of those acquired skills and pushed to their physical and mental limits.
Bear has previously tested the likes of former President of the United States Barack Obama, which is not bad to have for an alum on the show. Aside from Obama, the series, which premiered in 2014, has seen everyone from Channing Tatum, Zac Efron and Mel B to Derek Hough, Brie Larson and Danny Trejo pair up with Bear. Running Wild has changed hands, with the first four seasons airing on NBC, and the series moving to National Geographic starting with season 5. The show is also available to watch on Disney+.
