Mysterious New Arcane Forge Appears in Valdrakken in 10.1.7 - New Draenei Crafting System?
wowhead.comIn yesterday's 10.1.7 PTR build, a mysterious new Arcane forge object has appeared in the Artisan's Market profession area of Valdrakken. While the forge itself is non-interactable, it does seem to be an object with some importance due to having a specific map icon and highlight.
The Arcane Forge does appear very Draenei in origin, but we haven't encountered anything quite like this new object in previous content. Man'ari Eredar Customization is coming to Draenei via a new questline in 10.1.7, so perhaps this is related in some fashion to that content as it has yet to be tested on the PTR.
Unfortunately, very little is known about this mysterious new object. Due to its name and location, many players have speculated that this could be a future crafting system coming in 10.1.7 or 10.2.
Still many others have even speculated about a return of reforging, a previous system that allowed players to convert a portion of one secondary stat on a item into a more desirable secondary stat. While the reforging angle may be a bit more farfetched, we look forward to seeing why this new object was added and why its important enough to receive it's own map icon highlight.
