Striking Distance Studios Founder and CEO Glen Schofield tweeted that the team will have more to share soon about the game. He also thanked fans for waiting and said he loved when the design starts to come together, which was accompanied by a picture of someone in a mocap suit. It’s unclear when “soon” is, but it’s possible the game will show up during the summer. While not a confirmation by any means, Geoff Keighley responded with an emoji, which could imply that the game might show up at Summer Games Fest. This would be a somewhat natural progression from its reveal at The Game Awards which Keighley also puts together.
Schofield is most known executive producing the original when he was at Visceral Games and directing and during his stint at Sledgehammer Games. Even though strangely takes place in the universe, it’s a horror game that calls back to his roots. But since no gameplay footage has come out, it’s difficult to tell how close those ties will be.
