Earlier this week, Bandai Namco revealed Tales of Graces f Remastered. But what fans may not realise is that this was actually just one of multiple announcements that the publisher has planned, in celebration of the series' 30th anniversary.
Officially, Tales turns 30 in December, so it sounds like we might be getting a staggered approach to news and reveals as we draw closer and closer to the date. Tales producer Yusuke Tomizawa hints at this in a new video message, where he states: «Our staff will continue to worth together to bring you a variety of announcements to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Tales, so please stay tuned for more news.»
What could be in store for fans of the franchise, then? Well, we'd fully expect some of these «announcements» to be things like contests and maybe some fresh merchandise, but we'd still bet on there being one or two big reveals. A brand new Tales game certainly doesn't seem out of the question — with Tales of Arise closing in on its third birthday — and there are surely additional remasters in the pipeline. Tales of Xillia, anyone?

Robert (or Rob if you're lazy) is an assistant editor of Push Square, and has been a fan of PlayStation since the 90s, when Tekken 2 introduced him to the incredible world of video games. He still takes his fighting games seriously, but RPGs are his true passion. The Witcher, Persona, Dragon Quest, Mass Effect, Final Fantasy, Trails, Tales — he's played 'em all. A little too much, some might say.
30th Anniversary… time flies. I've bought so many of these in sales over the years but haven't finished one yet. Perhaps I will change that for the 30th Anniversary.
Bring the tales of xillia duology to ps5, also wouldn't mind a remaster of tales of hearts.
Tales of Berseria is my personal fave, though Vesperia and the first Xillia are great too.
