Some recently unearthed concept art from 2008’s Spider-Man: Web Of Shadows game shows what Moon Knight would look like under the influence of a Symbiote. Mainstream audiences are getting their first exposure to Marc Spector and his many alternate personalities thanks to Oscar Issac’s performance in the new Disney+ series Moon Knight, but the mystically-empowered agent of Khonshu has been featured in several Marvel-based video games over the years. He has made minor appearances in ensemble titles like LEGO Marvel Super Heroes and Marvel: Contest Of Champions - and recent rumors have suggested that Moon Knight could be the latest in a line of superheroes dropping into Fortnite as a guest playable skin.
One of the most noteworthy games to feature Moon Knight was 2008’s Spider-Man: Web Of Shadows, which saw Marc Spector team up with other heroes like Luke Cage, Wolverine, and Spidey to protect New York City from the threat of a mass Symbiote outbreak. Moon Knight is first brought into Web Of Shadows’ story after an attempted robbery at Spector Tower, and he serves as a quest giver throughout the later portions of the Spider-Man game — though Spidey can lose his trust given Web Of Shadows’ branching morality system that sees the hero torn between embracing his dark side and staying true to the path of righteousness. Throughout the game’s story, many Spider-Man characters are infected by Symbiotes themselves, with Wolverine, Vulture, and Black Cat gaining new, Venom-like forms during boss battles. However, Moon Knight himself remains uninfected — leaving many to wonder what he would look like as a Symbiote-controlled monster.
