The Game Awards is a show known for its reveals as well as the rewards it gives out to the achieving games of a given year. 2021's Game Awards was no different, and gave gaming fans some interesting reveals for upcoming titles, with one of those games being Monolith's Wonder Woman. Previously known for the Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War games, Monolith Productions has a proven track record for creating engaging open-world titles with an emphasis on combat.
Considering both The Lord of the Rings and Wonder Woman franchises are owned by Warner Bros, it didn't seem too far a jump for WB Games and Monolith to work on a Wonder Woman title next. According to previous news and leaks on the upcoming Wonder Woman game, it will follow a similar style to the Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War games, featuring an open-world, with action oriented gameplay. Many likened Shadow of Mordor with the Batman: Arkham franchise upon the former's release, which means that the same formula of gameplay could also easily fit a Wonder Woman game.

There's also the famous «Nemesis System,» which randomly generated enemies that a player would face in Shadow of Mordor. This meant that no two playthroughs of the game would be the same, with different players encountering different rosters of orcs. In Wonder Woman, the «Nemesis System» is reportedly returning, though to see these returning gameplay elements, fans may be waiting longer than they had first thought.
