Infinity Ward has detailed the changes it’s made to Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer since the beta test last month.
“Firstly, we cannot say thank you enough to the fans that took the time to play our game– we had a record-breaking number of players in our Beta, playing more matches than ever before,” it said on Wednesday.
“We also gathered invaluable feedback from our fans, and want to take this opportunity to highlight some of the changes we’ve made to Modern Warfare II Multiplayer since the Beta”.
Changes include a shortening of footstep audio range, the addition of diamond icons above the heads of enemies, third-person mode no long aiming down sights, and various weapon tweaks.

Crucially, developer Infinity Ward has warned against changing your console region settings in an attempt to gain access early. If you do so, you risk being locked out of the game entirely until the official launch time in your region, according to the developer.
