Patch 10.1.7 Mistweaver Monk Guide
Mistweaver Monks have received a small but substantial rework to our mana generation in patch 10.1.7! Mana Tea has been reworked to function like it had in expansions before Legion, where spending mana contributed to stacks of a buff that we can then consume to regain mana during downtime during an encounter. Mana Tea has moved up in the talent tree, into a position where every Mistweaver is going to be selecting it. Talked about in greater detail here, these changes mix the pre-Legion version of the spell, while also allowing the flexibility of the mana-reduction version to stay with us.
Getting the most out of these changes raises the skill for the specialization, but it makes mana generation a much more meaningful decision instead of something that's passively happening. The removal of Spirit of the Crane isn't something to get upset about, as its functionality has been baked into the mana threshold of Mana Tea, as well as Lifecycles's Rising Sun Kick component.
