Although, as previously mentioned, it is true the game has received consistent updates throughout its lifetime, recently Microsoft has been hard at work providing the game with massive updates that add new mobs and content. Furthermore, recent news suggests new Minecraft projects are in the works, further showing Microsoft's dedication to the game and its franchise.
