Many players like to create new Minecraft worlds to build grand structures and survive through the latest threat Mojang has added to the game through regular updates. However, one player went back to an older world to check back in on what they had previously built in Minecraft, only to spawn to immediate damage the second the game lets them start moving again.
This latest video comes from Reddit user crustynate, who shared what amounted to be only five seconds of gameplay when entering the Minecraft world before dying. The post itself, though, has gathered over 15K up-votes at the time of this writing as well as plenty of comments either making jokes about the misfortune or sharing similar experiences.

In the video, the player can be seen loading into the world for four of the five seconds of the short clip, then immediately dying within a second of being given control of their character. On a first look, it almost appears that this death is caused from what the player spawns on, a couple of random magma blocks directly under the character's feet. However, on closer inspection, the death flag actually shows that the death wasn't caused by Minecraft's weather system or dangerous blocks, but by a Creeper that exploded out of view.
This type of surprise death that catches the player so impressively off guard is often a hilarious sight, even for the unfortunate player who is killed off in such spectacular fashion. It isn't the type of thing that might happen for players in creative mode, or using Minecraft's newest command features, but for those who jump into the RNG of survival, a funny death can at least be better than a frustrating one down in a cave.
