Minecraft’s Warden hostile mob, officially introduced to the game with The Wild Update, has been made even more horrible in a fan’s custom texture pack. It’s a common occurance for players to create their own texture packs, and often, they tend to treat hostile mobs with terrifying redesigns.
Minecraft’s notorious Ghasts, ghost-like flying monsters that reside in the Nether, are often being reworked into even more disturbing creatures by fans. One crafty player, for instance, decided to retexture Ghasts in Minecraft into flesh-toned floating maws with a set of similarly colored tentacles beneath them. The result was reminiscent of Stephen King’s Langoliers but with human-like teeth. Weirdly, Ghasts looked more terrifying this way. At the same time, Redditors came up with a few dentist-related jokes, mocking the creatures for their bizarre exterior.

The mob acquired a more menacing, nightmarish look complemented by a second set of jaws located under the monster’s open rib cage. According to FishyMint, retexturing Warden in 64x resolution was a tough job. Despite the overall high quality of the redesign, the player feels that some parts of the custom skin look rough and require additional refinement. Those interested in a close encounter with the custom Warden in Minecraft can download the texture pack from CurseForge.
