One Minecraft player has decided to build a recreation of the famous city of Springfield from the long-running animated television show, The Simpsons. Although recreating a city seems like an incredible and arduous task, it pales in comparison to some other massive Minecraft builds that players have shown off over the years.
A decade after Minecraft's release, using the blocky world to create wondrous displays has become incredibly commonplace. Minecraft players have built entire planets, cities, and massive historical landmarks on one-to-one scales. Some of these builds take many days or months to complete, and the more intrepid players complete their builds in the game's survival mode, thus risking that their creation gets destroyed by one of Minecraft's Creepers. But any successful, large-scale Minecraft build is worth recognition and praise, especially when it comes from a beloved cultural landmark like The Simpsons.

That's precisely what Reddit user BlocksterCraft managed to accomplish, showing off a full recreation of the city of Springfield from The Simpsons in Minecraft. In creative mode, BlocksterCraft flies the audience through Springfield past many notable landmarks from the show. Among them are the titular family's house, along with that of neighbor Ned Flanders. Springfield Elementary, the famous Springfield tire fire (though not currently on fire), Krusty Burger, Moe's Tavern, City Hall, Lard Lad Donuts (complete with a spot-on build of the Lard Lad mascot), the Quik-e-Mart, Springfield's church, hospital, and the nuclear power plant are all recreated and shown off in striking detail and accuracy.
