A recent Minecraft build has drawn the attention of the game's fanbase for its clear reference to The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. This is far from the first time that a Zelda fan has used Minecraft to construct a themed location, as gamers have often leveraged the building block title to craft cities, temples, and other locations from the legendary adventure franchise.
Like with so many entries in the Legend of Zelda series, Skyward Sword takes players across the land of Hyrule and to a number of unique locations. As a pre-Breath of the Wild Zelda game, many of the locations featured in Skyward Sword are themed dungeons and condensed, enclosed levels. One of the first levels players encounter after leaving the starting area of Skyloft is known as The Deep Woods which, as its name suggests, is a lush forest area filled with trees, shady patches of grass, and hills.

Much like the player who built Skyward Sword's training hall in Minecraft, Reddit user classic-plasmid has managed to pay homage to one of the early areas of The Deep Woods within Mojang's building block game. This creation is a decorative, ceremonious area dedicated to an End Portal, but its woodsy features and spiral shape are undeniably similar to the early Skyward Sword level. Several comments on the post point out this parity, and classic-plasmid themselves even made a comment noting how the build was inspired by the game.
