Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown was apparently terrified and visually disgusted by season 4 villain Vecna, according to her co-star. The hit science-fiction horror TV show first debuted on Netflix back in July 2016 to unanimous critical acclaim and has gone on to become Netflix's most-watched English series. Regarded as the streaming platform's flagship show, Stranger Things explores themes such as friendship, investigative drama, supernatural horror, 1980s pop culture references, Cold War experiments and conspiracy theories, power, and corruption. Winning a slew of awards, including seven Primetime Emmys, the show has received widespread popularity and acclaim, and in February of this year, Netflix announced it had renewed the show for a fifth and final season.
Spanish-born British actress Brown stars as Eleven, a troubled girl with psychokinetic and telekinetic abilities, who must use them to protect her friends, and the town of Hawkins, from the imminent threats posed by a parallel universe known as the Upside Down. Over the course of the series, Eleven must learn to harness her increasing powers, while also struggling to integrate into normal life, having spent years as a test subject in a government laboratory. Season 4 of the show saw the introduction of a new antagonist known as Vecna, played by Jamie Campbell Bower, and the Brit has received acclaim for his performance.
