Microsoft has officially announced and launched another Xbox Series X/S controller design, shortly after it was leaked.
The Stellar Shift controller was first spotted on Amazon last week ahead of Microsoft’s official reveal on Tuesday.
According to the platform holder, it features a colour-shifting, blue-purple shimmer and rubberised purple swirl grip. There are textured grips on the triggers, bumpers, and back case too.
Additionally, the Stellar Shift controller comes with a unique dynamic dashboard background that is only unlocked once it’s connected to an Xbox Series X/S console.
The controller is available today in select Xbox markets priced at $69.99 / £59.99.
During an Xbox and Bethesda showcase in January, Microsoft confirmed a Minecraft Legends release date of April 18 and a Redfall release date of May 2.
It also showed off Forza Motorsport, which may have been delayed until the second half of 2023.
Microsoft has today begun delisting various games and associated DLC from the Xbox 360 marketplace.
Games being removed from the digital marketplace include entries in the Assassin’s Creed, Call of Duty, Dark Souls, Far Cry, Left 4 Dead, Mass Effect, Prince of Persia, Skate, Splinter Cell and Witcher series.
Microsoft recently announced plans to lay off approximately 10,000 employees by the end of March. The staff cuts will hit around 4.5% of the US technology giant’s 220,000-person workforce, including some members of its gaming division.
Halo developer 343 Industries was said to have been hit particularly hard by the layoffs, which also reportedly affected some employees at Gears of War studio The Coalition and Bethesda Game Studios.
