Overwatch 2's collab with Porsche, which will add a white Macan Turbo Electric skin for D.Va, is finally happening next week. The tenth season of Overwatch 2 introduced an interesting Mirrorwatch theme which sees some of the franchise's heroes and villains swap roles and abilities in a limited time mode. Additionally, the latest DPS hero, Venture, joined the roster, giving players the ability to burrow underground, become invincible, and set up surprise attacks on opposing players from below.
Overwatch 2's crossover with the popular luxury car brand Porsche was first announced back in March, when it was confirmed to bring a legendary skin to D.Va based on Porsche's electric Macan Turbo car. When Season 10 of Overwatch 2 was first rolling out, the D.Va skin briefly popped back up at the very end of the Venture Forth launch trailer. Now, the Porsche skin is finally ready to make its Overwatch 2 debut next week.
On Twitter, Porsche announced that its legendary Macan Turbo D.Va skin will become available to Overwatch 2 players on May 14. The release date was accompanied by a short animated trailer featuring Overwatch's MEKA pilot Hana Song and her friend Dae-hyun Park. Chased by a pack of flying Gwishin omnics, the two of them rush to Song's Tokki mech in a Porsche Macan Turbo. Upon arriving and seeing the mech out of commission, Hana quickly works to use pieces of the Porsche they arrived in to repair the mech into working condition, giving it an all-new Macan Turbo look in the process.
D.Va's Porsche skin will be available for players to purchase in Overwatch 2's in-game shop, though it's unknown how much it'll cost and whether it'll be bundled with other small items like voice lines, emotes, or player icons. It's also not known whether the collab will be accompanied by a limited-time event, though considering the skin will only be obtainable via the shop, this seems unlikely.
