Matt Smith has called it "a bit confusing" to play his mysterious character in Sony's Morbius. Morbius stars House of Gucci's Jared Leto as the Marvel comics antihero Dr. Michael Morbius introduced initially as an adversary of Spider-Man. The medical expert finds himself transformed into a vampire-like creature while searching for a cure for his rare blood disease.
Smith, famous for his roles in Doctor Who and The Crown and recent movies like Last Night In Soho, plays the film's primary antagonist. A mysterious part, the character was initially listed online as Loxias Crown- a minor comics villain and enemy of Morbius after being attacked by the living vampire and bitten. The bite leaves Crown with similar powers and blood-thirsty appetite to Morbius, transforming him into the evil Hunger.
